SELEUCIS and PIERIA, Antioch. Hadrian. AD 117-138. AR Tetradrachm (24mm, 13.76 g, 6h). Struck AD 117. Laureate and cuirassed bust right / Eagle standing facing on club left, head and tail left, with wings spread; palm frond to right. Prieur 1525 (Tyre; this coin); McAlee 529; RPC III 3684/7 (this coin cited). VF, toned, roughness, a few scratches. Very rare, only four known to Prieur, seven in CoinArchives, and thirteen specimens cited by the authors of RPC, including this coin.
